As part of our on-going growth, we are now looking to expand our team and have vacancies for experienced Inbound / Despatch Operatives.


Reporting to the Transport Manger at our Manufacturing Depot, your role will be to load despatch vehicles with our bespoke roofing systems and to unload and store supplier deliveries.

All duties being completed in an accurate and timely manner with due care and attention and following company H&S policies.

The successful applicant should also be reliable, self-motivated individual who can demonstrate excellent time keeping and communications skills and have a keen eye for detail.


What we require:

FLT counterbalance licence.

Good level of fitness.

Reliable, punctual and safety compliant.


The day to day responsibilities of the Inbound/ Despatch Operative are:

To ensure thorough daily checks of FLT and manual handling equipment are carried out, recorded, and reported in line with company procedures.


Receiving goods from suppliers in line with inbound delivery schedule, accurately checking against inbound paperwork and report of discrepancies in line with company procedures.

Correct storage of inbound goods, and onward movement to production lines to meet demand.


Maintain yard and storage areas in an orderly manner to facilitate optimum use of space and to enable easy pick of production materials.


Good housekeeping, to high standards to minimise risk of stock damage and to enable quick and easy stock picks and stock level management.

To receive finished goods off internal, quality auditor.

Correct, safe and managed storage of finished goods prior to despatch.


To assist with drivers the effective loading of goods for despatch ensuring a complete and accurate check of all goods loaded onto vehicles, ensuring complete and accurate audit of loaded goods to meet customer expectations.

To ensure all loads are documented, cross checked, accurate and correct.

This job involves both use of mechanical handling equipment and manual handling. A FLT counterbalance licence is essential along with a good level of fitness.


Hourly pay:

Starting £10.50/h with bonus after satisfactory 6 month probation period. Paid Monthly.


Hours of work:

40hour week, Monday - Friday shift pattern with fixed start times between 6am and 7.30am.
