Description

Financial Accountant required for the Finance Function of this Global Listed Company.

Based in Glasgow, you will work as part of close-knit local finance team, reporting to Senior Stakeholders on a global basis.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Preparing financial statements for global entities of the business
Providing quarterly financial returns and management information to local and global stakeholders
Managing annual submissions at group and local level, including relevant tax returns
Overseeing the ledger and monitoring cash movement
Collaborating with other global finance teams by reviewing and managing journal entries
End to end responsibility of the balance sheet and providing corresponding analysis.
Dealing with any balance sheet related queries
Continuously driving process improvement across the team via the systems used

Applicants will be Qualified Chartered Accountants (CA/ACCA/CIMA), ideally with Accounting and Reporting experience gained within a large corporate environment. Most importantly you will have experience in preparing statutory accounts and it is advantageousto have key knowledge of IFRS.

You will be a strong technical accountant, excellent excel skills and enjoy collaborating as part of a wider team to drive continuous improvement.
