    Job Summary

    We are seeking a skilled Financial Controller to join our team. Reporting to the Financial Director, the person will support the Regional Financial Director, Heads of Finance (GB/IRL/Europe) and Leadership team. Key responsibilities include ensuring the finance organisational milestones and deliverables are completed on time, within budget and as planned whilst also managing the coordination and planning of mergers and acquisitions and other strategic initiatives. We are searching for candidates who are eager to share ideas, passionate about continuous improvement and will collaborate with various function leads within the Business, Division and wider group.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the Regional Financial Director by acting as an escalation and coordination point for financial control issues and deliverables in the region and having oversight of the entity activities.
    • Close month end accounts on a timely basis ensuring attention to detail and accurate numbers.
    • Prepare / review balance sheet reconciliations ensuring tight balance sheet control.
    • Timely resolution of escalated issues, risks, and decisions for the Region
    • Analyse financial data to identify and report undesirable trends; potential business opportunities and make recommendations for management to improve business performance and profitability.
    • Oversee internal controls, safeguarding of assets, and provide direction to finance team members to ensure goals are met on a continuous and consistent basis.
    • Coordination of both Internal and External financial and tax audits
    • Ensuring compliance with country Statutory, Division and Corporate requirements.
    • Manage the finance team of AP, AR and Business Improvement Accountant
    • Challenge and support efficiency and performance, in line with the overall strategy and objectives; maximizing added value in order to improve business performance.
    • Drive synergies and constantly prioritise efforts based on risk and value creation within the region.
    • Perform financial review and analysis and assists in managing and coordinating multiple general ledgers and facilitate month end close process.
    • Must be self-motivated and work well under pressure within a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
    • Review of sanctions and ensure compliance with group policies.
    • Preparation of Pack for monthly, Budget and Strategy Reporting.

    Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required
    • Qualified Accountant
    • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role
    • Strong knowledge of financial management principles and procedures
    • Experience of LN IN for or similar accounting software
    • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise own workload
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with good presentation and interpersonal skills
    • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail along with proven analytical problem solving skills
    • Must be very 'hands on'
