Support Assistant - Hackney, Derbyshire, United Kingdom - Teaching Personnel
Description
Teaching Personnel have a high demand for strong teaching assistants with a background in supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
You would be supporting primary aged pupils who require additional support throughout the school day.You will be required to work on a small group and 1:1 basis with pupils who struggle to engage in the work and those who are easily distracted, so the school are happy for you to get the pupils engaged in games or sports they have a particular interest in as a positive reinforcement.
We welcome all applicants from support worker, care, coaching and education backgrounds The ideal candidate will be willing to work on a full time basis and enthusiastic about getting involved in school's extra curricular activities.
A Team Teach or relevant de-escalation qualification would be preferred, but if you feel you would be good for this role and do not hold this type of training then please still feel free to apply as we run this training in house and can upskill you as an employee of Teaching Personnel.
Have training or experience in Makaton, PECS, or be Team Teach trainedBe flexible and patient, as the Special Needs will vary
Be committed to work full-time
