    Long Term Contract Role: Operational Resilience Support Specialist

    Rate: £550 Per day inside IR35

    Purpose of the Position:

    The specialist will assist the Head of Operational Resilience in executing our Client's Operational Resilience Strategy, particularly in integrating and applying the Business Continuity and Crisis Management Frameworks across the organisation. This role is critical in bolstering our ability to proactively mitigate, adeptly adjust to, efficiently respond to, quickly recover from, and gain insights from operational interruptions to maintain business functions across diverse jurisdictions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Uphold the principles always outlined in the Senior Manager & Certification Regime (SMCR).
    • Collaborate with Service Owners to annually reassess Important Business Services, assist in crafting Service Recovery Plans, and ensure recovery capabilities are within the impact tolerance levels through desktop exercises.
    • Create and maintain 'Service Resilience Dashboards' to monitor and report on the robustness of all Important Business Services.
    • Facilitate the adoption of the Crisis Management Framework and Plan by conducting training and promoting understanding.
    • Build and maintain a scenario library; orchestrate targeted exercises to evaluate and enhance the Client's response and recovery processes.
    • Aid in the development and integration of standalone Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and reinforce the Business Continuity Management (BCM) Framework, ensuring all related roles and responsibilities are clearly communicated and understood.
    • Manage Incident Oversight by confirming incident management procedures, including prompt escalation, communication, and essential workarounds, as well as reporting any incidents or threshold breaches to the Operational Resilience Committee.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Membership in the Business Continuity Institute (MBCI), the Institute of Risk Management (IRM), or similar experience is highly desirable.
    • Profound knowledge of operational resilience practices and regulatory standards.
    • Familiarity with new operational resilience regulations, including the management of critical business services.
    • Solid background in financial services and operational risk management.
    • Proven experience in sophisticated scenario development and testing.
    • Comprehensive understanding of business continuity principles and stakeholder support in implementation.

    This position is a contract role and Inside IR35.
