JOB TITLE:
LEAD QC INSPECTOR

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee detailed inspections of components and completed assemblies at various phases of production and throughout the manufacturing and repair processes.
Perform quality testing as per instructions on allocated route cards & drawings, signing off completed stages on route sheets. Moving on next operation within MASCOT.
Prepare and maintain Quality records for review of completeness and accuracy to meet both internal and external expectations.
Documenting any quality issues and creating a system for recording and reporting of such documentation.
Compile Product Non-Conformance reports and subsequent control of nonconforming product.
Perform inhouse calibration and control of outsourced calibration to verify equipment accuracy.
Review international and national standard latest revisions to incorporate changes which may affect our business.
Training junior QC Inspection personnel.
Testing product materials from suppliers.
Participate in team meetings as required (safety, problem solving, etc.).
Participate in process improvement teams and/or completes relative documentation when required.
Care of tools & associated inspection equipment.
Adhere to the company's Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental policies.
Perform all duties required within job role safely adhering to task risk assessments and SWM.
Participate in company Lean Management and 5S principles.
Other duties for which the company deems are within your capabilities.
Understanding of inhouse Quality procedures relevant to position.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Qualified to SNT-TC1A Level 2 in MPI & DPI Inspection as a minimum.
Oil and Gas Experience, preferably within the Subsea, Drilling and Surface Sector.
Experience in precision inspection and quality systems, in a manufacturing environment.
Former Lead or Supervisory experience preferred.
Familiar with ISO and API standards.
The ability to analyze the quality and performance of a product.
An understanding of industry safety standards.
Methodical and organized approach to assigned work is essential.
Strong and effective communication skills.
The ability to work well with others.
The ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
Flexibility and openness to change.
An understanding of the software utilized in the industry.
Thorough attention to detail, accurate and concise.
Capable of working to deadlines on own initiative.
