THE COMPANY:


Brewster Executive are delighted to have been retained by a circa £10 million turnover Birmingham based market leading manufacturing business, part of a larger and successful group, who are looking to recruit a General Manager with the potentialto progress to Managing Director within the next 2-5 years.

This is an already successful and profitable business, established in their sector for 100 years.


THE JOB:


Reporting to the Managing Director, the role will lead a Senior Management Team of 6 people with overall responsibility for around 100 people on site.


Duties will include:

  • Implementing Environmental and Health & Safety Policy
  • Implementation of change and actioning following results of Health & Safety monitoring
  • Carry out periodic Risk Assessments of the company procedures, whilst monitoring and maintaining risk daily
  • Managing Sales account management, order processing, production, administration processes, procedures, customer service
  • Quality Management and control, Planning and scheduling of production
  • Undertake and support of periodic system & external audits to ensure compliance
  • Develop relationships with key customers to ensure high levels of customer service and customer satisfaction
  • Oversee the daytoday completion of customer orders
  • Full details of each customer requirements, together with a job pack which will include estimate, Quotation & specification from the Sales Department
  • Heading up project meetings to scheduling of materials, timings and who will be included in the project
  • Production Scheduling including meetings, reviewing targets and progress

THE PERSON:


To be considered for this opportunity, we're looking for an experienced manufacturing professional who has experience in production management and/or a customer facing role.


Personality and motivation will be absolutely key for this role and you'll be as adept at getting your sleeves rolled up on the shop floor as you will liaising with senior directors across the group.


You'll need operational experience and will have managed teams with experience across health and safety, quality control and project management.
