The Company:

Brewster Partners are exclusively working a global leader who specialise in manufacturing products within the Rail industry. We are working with our key client to recruit a qualified accountant to be part of their European Contract Services Division,

This role will have you reporting in directly to the group Finance Controller, working within the company's contracts team performing tasks necessary in the preparation of Monthly Management Accounts and Statutory Reporting.

The Job:

Key Responsibilities include:

Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting, adhering to tight deadlines.
Calculation and analysis of % to complete on projects, margin and cost calculations, variance analysis, and reviewing & reporting on project performance.
Corporate Reporting: to assist with & produce all necessary Corporate Reports (US Parent Company) weekly, monthly and adhoc.
Preparation of information and documents required for Statutory Reporting, tax returns and UK/US audit purposes.
All tasks associated with account preparation including accruals, prepayments, depreciation & other journals.
Rolling forecast preparation for division.
Cashflow management and forecasting for division.
Collaborating with the project and contract teams to fully understand any active projects
Support other members of the finance team as and when required
CIMA or ACCA qualified is preferred in this role, qualification by experience or Part Qualified is also considered
Experience in longerterm project accounting would be desirable
Adopting a flexible approach to work, including travel to alternate sites
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong IT skills, including MS office packages
