    The Opportunity

    As a Senior Account Executive within the Medium Business Sales Team, you will be responsible for delivering high-value and high-quality sales of renewal and prospect customers with large and complex gas and electricity requirements.

    What you'll be doing

    In this role, you will implement best practice to ensure optimal commercial value and operational integrity whilst delivering excellent customer experience. You will use your skills and knowledge to identify marketplace opportunities, prospect and engage new customers, develop proposals and negotiate in line with our commercial objectives.

    You will be leading TPI relationships to meet and exceed stretching sales goals. You will need to be results driven, with the ability to effectively disrupt and influence customers' thinking and build consensus for EDF's products and services.

    You'll have excellent industry knowledge which you will use to educate your brokers and be able to build effective partnerships by driving productive two-way communication to deliver results and you'll also be able to build and leverage internal stakeholder relationships to ensure your portfolio is efficiently managed across the business.

    Who you are

    Account management: You will have good experience in managing the end-to-end process with your brokers and customers. You will have strong account planning skills and be able to strategize your approach with different Channel Partners and opportunities. You will have the ability to develop a good external and internal network to unlock cooperative working and efficient resolution when issues arise.
    Effective communication: You will have a strong skillset in driving two-way communication. You will be able to engage with your customers' senior decision makers by linking their business priorities to EDF's products and services. You will lead with authority and tailor communication to the customer's needs and own communication style. You will be a strong communicator in writing, on the telephone and face to face, having the ability to effectively create and deliver presentations and facilitate discussions. Within this, you will be able to understand and articulate complex sales products and financial scenarios.
    Portfolio Development & Organisation: You will have experience in proactive development of a customer portfolio to maximise business opportunities and value. You will be able to work with your internal and external network to ensure deal success. You will add value to your Channel Partners and be able to position yourself as a preferred supplier and grow your relationships.
    Market Knowledge: Understanding of energy wholesale markets and risk management methodologies, or capacity to learn these quickly. Achieve targets relating to the sale of supply contracts and value-adding products and services by growing new and existing accounts.
    Commerciality: You will have sound commercial knowledge and understanding of our business objectives. You will be able to add value and deliver on opportunities and strategies. You will be able to research and develop a deep knowledge of customers and channel partners' businesses, current economic and industry trends, and potential new business opportunities.
