    Job Summary

    Are you an experienced nurse with a background in working with children and looking to expand your skills?

    If so, we have an opportunity for a qualified nurse (RN, RSCN, RMN, RLDN) to join our team of professionals focusing on delivering top-notch care. This role involves supporting children and young people with neurodevelopment disorders such as ADHD.

    Main duties of the job:

    • Contribute to the assessment and support of children with neurodevelopmental disorders
    • Contribute to service development to meet children's needs
    • Adhere to the organization's values and NHS England's values

    Job Responsibilities

    Nature of Work:

    • Provide specialist advice and nursing care
    • Contribute to assessments of neurodevelopmental disorders in children
    • Develop care pathways

    Planning:

    • Prioritize workload effectively
    • Plan daily tasks accordingly
    • Collaborate with other services to streamline care pathways

    Project Involvement:

    • Participate in projects as needed

    Patient Contact:

    • Start, monitor, and adjust treatments
    • Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals
    • Provide support to parents and school staff

    Budgetary Responsibility:

    • Maintain equipment

    People Management:

    • Provide supervision and line management
    • Assist in the development of induction programs
    • Participate in staff appraisal process

    Research & Development:

    • Contribute to audits and research

    Clinical and Practice Governance:

    • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies
    • Adhere to infection control policies
    • Maintain professional registration

    Person Specification:

    Qualifications & Training

    Essential

    • Registered Nurse (RNLD, RNMH) or Children's Nurse (RNC)
    • Independent Non-Medical Prescriber qualification or willingness to undergo training

    Desirable

    • Specialist Community Practitioner qualification - Health Visiting or School Nursing

      • Experience

      Essential

      • Experience working with children and families with complex needs
      • Extensive experience in care assessment and planning

      Desirable

      • Knowledge of neurodevelopmental disorders (ADHD, ASD)

        • Excellent communication skills with children and young adults
