Description
Our client is a large local government organisation and looking for an experienced corporate Communications Officer to join their team.
This is initially a 3 month contract which may be extended for the right applicant.You will
to protect and enhance the reputation of the city council, and external clients services, through effective day to day communications and media management, including developing and implementing media management and communications plans, preparing media releasesand statements, preparing media briefings
to advise senior officers, elected members and external client services on media and communications issues
to manage communications in an emergency or crisis situation, including liaising with partner organisations and participating in a 24/7 on call rota
to support consultation and engagement activity, including consultation events, public meetings and neighbourhood forums
to work closely with the internal communications officer to ensure internal and external communications are effectively co-ordinated
Marketing, print and advertising
to develop and deliver effective, targeted marketing campaigns, supported by market research and evaluated against clear objectives
to support the delivery of the overall marketing and corporate communications strategy for the council and the delivery of the annual marketing framework
