Description
The Finance Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day tasks within the Finance team.

A permanent, part time position, the role of the Finance Administrator will be to support the Finance Manager with administration tasks to ensure the day to day and month end procedures are carried out in a timely and accurate manner.

Description

  • Manage a small sales ledger including raising sales invoices
  • Purchase Ledger including statement reconciliations, raising purchase orders, processing supplier invoices and generating supplier payments
  • Maintenance of EPOS barcode database via spreadsheet imports
  • Record bank and credit card transactions within Sage200
  • Journals (prepayments & accruals)
  • Banking
  • Identify and address accounting discrepancies
  • Submit Gift Aid schedules to HMRC
  • Update internal excel spreadsheets and logs
  • Generate reports from our IT packages
  • Submit VAT Returns
  • Collate KPI's
  • Assist the Finance Manager with month end management reporting
  • Manage petty cash and process petty cash receipts
  • Daily spreadsheet importing of CRM & Retail activity into Sage200
  • Filing
  • Answer telephone calls and queries relating to the accounts department
  • Assisting the Finance Manager with year end audits
  • Reconciliations between various software packages (CRM, EPOS)
  • Other ad hoc administration as required

  • General Accounting Principles experience

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Analytical & problem solving
  • Digital skills (Microsoft packages, excel skills essential)
  • Hands on experience of Sage accounting packages
  • Good understanding of bookkeeping procedures
  • Confidentiality
