We have an exciting opportunity in the Housing Assets Compliance Team for a Surveyor to manage all aspects of fire safety for the Council's housing stock.
About you:
You will be an experienced Compliance Surveyor and be able to demonstrate a track record of managing all aspects housing asset fire safety including ensuring that all properties are maintained in a condition to address all fire risks.
You will have experience of the delivery of effective fire safety management systems, and this will extend to working with managers, staff and contractors to ensure that all operations are consistent with current fire legislation, approved codes of practice and approved guidance.

The role will manage the delivery of effective compliance for fire safety across the Housing service, working with managers, staff and contractors to ensure that all operations are consistent with current legislation and approved codes of practice in both the short and long term.
About the team:
The Compliance Team ensures that the Council's Housing Service is fully compliant with relevant legislation and good practice in all SHEQ areas, including Fire Safety, passive fire systems and procedures, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order and Building Safety Act requirements, Lone working safety, electrical, gas and asbestos safety, passenger lift, hoists and stair lift safety, radon and external environment safety, risk assessments and procedures, legionella testing and water services, accident and incident investigations and compliance audits, Environmental Management Plan including carbon reduction, resources conservation and waste minimisation.
