    We are looking for an experienced, Satellite Operations Engineer to join our busy Engineering team, in a hybrid working role based in Glasgow (Scotland, UK) to support a diverse range of activities to deliver on our projects and missions.

    The purpose of the role is to lead commissioning phases for new missions as well as ensuring normal operations for existing missions in line with cost, quality, safety, and time parameters.

    Drive the first weeks of our satellites' lives through planning, preparation, and execution of the commissioning phases
    Analyse data and investigate in-orbit anomalies, solving problems both individually and through collaboration with other engineering disciplines
    Ensure nominal operations of existing missions and help improve existing processes
    Support the design of mission specific ground segment systems for service and data delivery
    Proven ability to effectively identify and debug issues with existing or new software
    Technical report and procedure writing to a high standard
    Ability to organise self and prioritise workload of multiple projects in dynamic environment with tight deadlines
    Customer focused with basic commercial understanding
    Competent IT skills including Microsoft Software and familiarity with command line interfaces
    Proficient in English, both verbally and written
    Knowledge of space mission analysis and satellite design
    Experience of programming in Python
    Experience of RF / DSP engineering applied to space communications
    Experience with space mission regulatory environment (ITU filings, insurances...)
    Experience of testing or operating a satellite at system/mission level
