    Axon Moore is partnering with a highly recognisable, PE backed B2B company based in Lancashire with a search for a new Group Financial Controller.

    This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that has been going through progressive growth and are looking to bring in a strong number 2 in finance.

    This very broad role will be working very closely to a high calibre CFO and other senior stakeholders across the business.

    The prime focus will be focusing on driving the numbers, managing a strong finance function and driving process improvements across the board.

    Manage and oversee all aspects of the finance and accounting functions of the organisation


    • Direct and supervise the monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
    • Supervise and manage financial department staff, including qualified and transactional
    • Monitor and improve financial controls, systems and reports
    • Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation
    • Covenant planning, calculations and Compliance Certificate
    • Lead external relationships including audit, bank and support the private equity house
    • Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports
    • Review all financial plans, forecasts and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
    • Full ownership of P&L, stat accounts, balance sheet and ad hoc commercial/technical projects
    • Assist the CFO in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.

    You will be a Fully Qualified Accountant from either a ACA, CIMA or ACCA background and ideally have worked within a fast-moving environment.

    You will need to have a solid level of accounting background, strong controls experience and use to a hands-on environment.

    This will be a significant opportunity to get into an exciting role with lots of change, challenges and be a part of an exciting journey especially within private equity.

    Salary is £80k - £90k + bonus + benefits
