Assistant Project Manager
About the job
The role will be supporting the Project Manager in their project reporting and governance accountabilities, including progress reporting, risk and issue management, budget, and financial management, planning and scheduling, and document control.

Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines to identify optimum mitigation and corrective actions to minimise impacts on programme/cost:
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with people within and outside the organisation
- Analyse complex data (quantitative and qualitative), draw conclusions, and produce solutions
- Build effective working relations with people within own project teams and with delivery partners outside the organisation
- Ability to work under pressure in a complex environment and deliver work with conflicting priorities to tight deadlines
Knowledge

Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction or related discipline, or equivalent qualification

Knowledge and understanding of project budgeting, procurement processes and contract management in a project setting:

Good knowledge of, and experience within, the UK rail industry; including safety issues in operating railway environment:
- Knowledge and understanding of project controls tools and techniques
- Understanding of TfL project and programme management methodologies and processes
- Professional Qualification in Project Management, e.g.
Experience

Minimum 3-5 years' experience:
-
Experience in managing NEC Option C contract

Demonstrable experience of successful project delivery in a rail environment (Signalling and Rolling Stock):
-
Managing performance and delivery through external contractors and/or suppliers:
- Personal responsibility and accountability for working in high pressure teams and delivering to time, budget and quality
- Working in a complex multifunctional environment.
Duration:
August 31st, 2023. Paying PAYE - £242/Umbrella - £326.59 PER DAY.
