Head of Finance for E-commerce Start up

Absolute are delighted to be partnered with an exciting e-commerce start-up looking to welcome their first in-house finance hire.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone at the Financial Controller level who is keen for their first number 1 role in finance.

Having doubled their turnover in recent years, it is a great time to join a growing brand with a clear identity and market focus.

This role would suit someone who is excited by being part of the senior leadership team of an SME, reporting directly to the CEO, it will be a broad position with total ownership, and responsibility, of the finance function.

It is a well rounded role that has a great mix of; projects, commercial strategy planning, and business-as-usual reporting.
The role

System implementation managing a new ERP implementation
Building robust processes to create a fitforpurpose finance function
Creating and maintaining cashflow forecasts
Developing a financial strategy for the next phase of growth
Preparing and presenting management accounts
Managing the audit process and liaising with external auditors
Liaising with international consultants regarding tax compliance in EMEA, APAC
Preparing VAT returns, UK and overseas
Working with leadership to introduce KPI's to the drive growth
Management of the P+L
Cash Management looking to invest or save where needed
Improving stock reporting processes and management

A dynamic individual will be best suited to the role to adapt to the needs of the business at various milestones.

What are we looking for?

ACA or ACCA qualified
Ideally qualified in a practice environment and 45 years PQE in a relevant industry (retail, ecommerce, FMCG, wholesale)
Experience within an SME or high growth environment
Strong management and communication skills this role will form part of the leadership team and will build the team around.
