    Applications are invited for these exciting Leadership and Education fellowships supported by Health Education England. These fellowships will be based at the Medway Fetal and Maternal Medicine Centre (MFMC) starting October 2024 for a period of 1-year.

    The fellowship provides excellent opportunities for higher specialist trainees, ideally ST5-ST7 trainees who are pursuing a career in high-risk Obstetrics and Fetal-Maternal Medicine. This fellowship is unique in that it allows fellows to obtain advanced clinical skills in management of high-risk pregnancies alongside learning obstetric ultrasound. The fellows will be supported to undertake a Post-graduate certificate in Healthcare Leadership, Commissioning and Education at the BSMS. There will be an opportunity to undertake a service development project with supervision and mentoring from clinical leaders. This fellowship is a unique opportunity for trainees aspiring to become clinical leaders and shaping the future of maternity services.

    Qualifications

    Essential

  • MBBS (or equivalent).
  • MRCOG (or equivalent)
  • Experience of working at Registrar grade on Obstetrics & Gynaecology
  • Completion of ST4/5 training in O&G or equivalent
  • Skills

    Essential

  • Understanding of clinical risk management.
  • Possess Basic ultrasound skills
  • Shows knowledge of evidence informed practice.
  • Desirable

  • Demonstrates use of evidence based practice.
