    Electrical biased Maintenance Technician - Permanent

    £43,000 + Bonus

    25 days holidays (+Bank Hols), Premium OT, Private Healthcare, 8% Employer Pension Contribution

    Monday to Friday (6am-2pm/2pm-10pm)

    Liverpool

    Our client is a leading chemical manufacturer industry based in Liverpool. An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join the growing engineering team.

    As maintenance technician, you'll be responsible for the continuous running of the company's equipment and machinery assets. Using computerised systems, you'll oversee routine maintenance and organise repairs. You'll also be involved with control and monitoring devices and occasionally in the manufacture of items that will help in maintenance.

    This position offers extensive training development.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Completion of Preventative Maintenance and ensuring Compliance related maintenance tasks are completed on time
    • Provide diagnostic support to production to help resolve reactive maintenance issues
    • Where required take the lead on small projects and ensure timely completion
    • Develop new preventative maintenance tasks
    • Act an electrical lead within the team
    • Fault finding with PLC's
    • Ensure all compliance documentation is updated as required
    • Support in the continuous improvement of maintenance systems
    • Working on pumps, gearboxes, motors, electrical equipment, automated filling lines, etc.

    QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

    • Apprentice trained in electrical engineering.
    • Multi-skilled - ideal.
    • Experienced in maintaining electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems.
    • Experience within a chemical manufacturing industry will be very desirable, however, very happy to look at FMCG, heavy manufacturing, etc.
    • Willingness to learn and develop is key.

    • Able to communicate at all levels
    • Ability to maintain a high level of discipline associated with the daily compliance of hygiene standards and the safe operation of factory equipment
    • Hard working attitude.
