Description
An opportunity has arisen in the Endoscopy Department for a Band 5 Staff Nurse working 37.You will be required to work within the procedure rooms and recovery area as part of the team, undertaking training and development whilst developing competencies within the specialised field.
Endoscopy experience is desirable but must be willing to undertake training and be flexible within the role.
If you are passionate about providing the highest standards of care to patients and would like to develop your skills and knowledge further we would like to hear from you.
You will be enthusiastic, motivated, have endoscopy experience and be willing to drive forward high quality care and excellent patient experience whilst coping with the demands of a busy unit.
This opportunity will provide personal development and an insight into the role of a Staff Nurse within the Endoscopy Unit.

Under the supervision of the ward manager the nurse is responsible for the provision, organisation and direction of nursing care of the patients in his/her care.
To communicate effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and high quality care is provided to all patients.

In conjunction with the ward manager, help create and maintain a suitable learning environment for staff and students and act as a mentor in the supervision and teach of less experienced staff.
To develop own teaching skills and participate in education programmes supervising unqualified nurses and students as directed.Flexible and positive approach to work
Speak English to an appropriate standard relevant to their role, i.e. with confidence and accuracy, using correct sentence structures and vocabulary, and without hesitation.
