    Alexander Steele is recruiting an IT Service Desk Analyst for a food manufacturing business based in Leeds.

    They are looking for somebody who is prepared to be hands on across all sites, so will need a valid driving licence and experience working within IT Service who can hit the ground running with basic queries and then develop their bespoke skills with the business systems.

    The IT Service Desk is accountable for providing first line technical support to internal staff. The IT Service Desk Analyst will also be a key contributor to the ongoing maintenance and ownership of the service catalogue, major incident management (MIM), problem, and change.

    The IT Service Desk Analyst has a diversified background of service orientated roles, technical understanding, excellent customer service skills, is well organised, and a good communicator.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • To provide service desk services in the form of first line support.
    • Working alongside other Service Desk staff to ensure Desk coverage is maintained at the Head Office
    • Delivers triage services to effectively prioritise business issues.
    • Effectively resolves and manages issues.
    • Administers and monitors the service desk tooling appropriately.
    • Fosters positive relationship with key business stakeholders and drives service engagement across the business.
    • Effectively manages Major Incidents, Problems, and Changes within the operational environment.

    Role Requirements

    Driving Licence and Vehicle owner is a must as they need to be able to travel between sites

    Education

    • Education in computer science, information systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

    Experience

    • Diversified background of service orientated roles
    • Effective understanding appreciation of IT security, infrastructure, and networking.
    • A desire to attain relevant certifications such as ITIL, CCNA, MTA, MCSA, VCP, etc. are beneficial but not essential.
    • Strong IT acumen, including cross-domain knowledge.

    On Offer:

    • £24,000 - £26,000
    • Monday – Friday (office hours to be agreed)
    • 33 days annual leave
    • Auto enrolment pension
