    Description

    The Certification Engineer is responsible for making sure RWC products meet regulatory & safety standards of relevant countries. The role involves liaising with laboratories on regulatory submissions, communicating with suppliers and staff members of all levels, and educating / guiding personnel and customers about compliance regulations.

    POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Being responsible for managing and maintaining product certifications and approvals.
  • Developing and managing regulatory submissions with certification bodies.
  • Reviewing, managing, and updating product compliance files.
  • Developing and sustaining initiatives within compliance to improve processes and performance.
  • Reviewing and understanding new and revised product standards, guidelines, directives and regulations to determine how they might affect product compliance.
  • Liaising with all departments, especially Engineering and Production in support of product compliance with certification requirements.
  • Liaising and supporting RWC affiliates in obtaining EU or UK certification.
  • Supporting external auditors and taking the lead role for compliance and certification audits.
  • Supporting RWC customers with certification projects, directly or via certification bodies.
  • Complying with all current work instructions within the organisation.
  • Complying fully with all current health, safety & environmental regulations in operation within the company whilst carrying out your duties.
  • Carry out any reasonable task which falls within your capabilities.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERTISE

  • Experience in compliance and conformity within an industrial environment or laboratory.
  • Experience in product certification and legislations such as CE, REACH, ROSH, SCIP.
  • Manufacturing experience, ideally within injection moulding, machining and Assembly
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings and product specifications.
  • Internal and external audit knowledge is desired.
  • REQUIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION

  • Educated to degree level, ideally in Quality, product design or Materials OR relevant experience to the same level.
  • Ideally experienced with SAP
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
