Assistant Project Lead - Newport, United Kingdom - Sopra Steria
Description
We have an exciting opportunity for you, working as an Assistant Project Lead, utilising your knowledge and experience supporting change, development, and implementation of recruitment processes.
You will work in partnership with some of our large government clients and focus on streamlining and improving various processes.
You will support with the design, implementation and drive forward the resourcing infrastructure, maximise the effective overall project management of medium to large scale projects.
The role will involve working across multiple government client projects and can include such clients as the Home Office, MOJ and the Environment Agency.
What you'll be doing:
- Driving action logs to ensure accountability.
- Identify change opportunities.
- Provide management services to the project team including budgeting, forecasting, delivery planning etc.
- Support suppliers on the project requirements.
- Assemble and update project or service plans, raising deviations from published plans.
- Compile project/service risk and issue registers and ensure robust management and mitigation of risk levels.
- Compile delivery governance reports and project/programme reports.
- Ensure high level of service is provided to all partners.
- Complete assignment reviews at agreed periods or points in the project life cycle.
What you'll bring:
- Previous project experience.
- Business Analysis skills, including process mapping.
- Ability to engage in effective communication with internal and external partners.
- The initiative to develop knowledge in regard to products, project management tools and methodologies.
- Ability to identify and analyse problems, bringing about a resolution within a timely manner.
It would be great if you had:
- Understanding of PRINCE 2 or AGILE.
- Recruitment experience.
- Assessment / Resourcing experience.
