Are you keen to consider a role where you and your team are site based every day? Our client is based in Nottingham (NG1) and they are in the market to hire a head of Finance for their business.

Reporting in to the Managing Director this role is essential in day to day finance operations. Their business has experienced exceptional growth over the last 3 years and as such as now in a position to hire this crucial Head of Finance/Financial Controller position

Key Responsibilities

  • Day to day management of all finance activities including the management and development of the team (Management Accountants, transactional finance supervisor (and team) as well as IT
  • Daily cashflow, sales forecasting, ensuring all monthly management accounting is produced in a timely manner
  • Preparation, review and reporting of management accounts against budgets and forecasts
  • Adhoc commercial reporting/analysis
  • Overseeing all aspects of financial preparation including forecasts & KPI's
  • Statutory Accounts/YE reporting/Audit lead
  • Annual budget preparation
  • Support to key business stakeholders including Sales Director and Operations Director commercial support with project decision making


Our client is seeking a qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/Equivalent) with exceptional ability to lead and develop a team and who can be relied upon to take responsibility for day-to-day finance matters and finance operations.

Our client whilst SME are extremely fast paced and have a constantly evolving business model so you will need to be able to work at pace and enjoy the challenges of a high growth, owner managed environment.

You will need strong interpersonal skills and excellent relationship building skills internally.

Technically its ideal if you have worked within transferrable sectors to our client such as Manufacturing, Plant Hire, construction or similar.

This role is business facing and is focused on being in and around the business (There isnt an option for a hybrid working pattern).
