Behaviour Support Assistant - NP11


The role involves working with pupils on a 1 to 1 basis or a small group supporting their learning, encouraging confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.


A desirable behaviour support assistant must have:

  • Experience working in a SEN environment.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Empathetic and nurturing characteristics
  • High expectations of the children in their care

The behaviour support assistant role includes:

  • Providing 1:1 support
  • Delivering group activities from the teachers planning
  • Preparing and setting up resources
  • Using your own initiative
  • Developing literacy, numeracy and communication skills in children

As a behaviour support assistant, you require:

  • An enhanced Child Workforce DBS
  • we can process one for you ready for September.
  • Registered with the EWC we can help with your registration.
  • 2 years of professional references
  • A Right to Work documentation.


If you're still in education, we can still get you registered with us ready for when you finish your course - this ensures immediate availability as soon as you finish education.
