    Job Description What your new role will entail: We are looking for experienced hydrogeologists and groundwater experts at senior or principal levels to support activities in the UK across our offices. Join our team of 20+ groundwater experts to assist with projects in the UK and overseas, ranging from groundwater source investigation to dewatering, groundwater flooding, impact assessment of major infrastructure schemes, water management, and developing strategies to manage this essential resource efficiently. We take pride in capturing high-quality data, conceptualizing complex systems, and devising cost-effective and sustainable solutions. Be part of the team that makes a difference. Some of your responsibilities will include: Advising on all aspects of hydrogeology and working on projects in the UK, Ireland, and internationally Providing expert advice on hydrogeological conceptualization Assisting in delivering water resources and engineering hydrogeology projects Preparing internal and external bids to support growth Mentoring junior staff on their career development Developing innovations around data and collaborating with our groundwater modelers. Being part of the team: The AECOM Water Environment team's clientele includes both public and private sectors, located in the UK, Ireland, and the EMEA Region. The groundwater team collaborates with colleagues in surface water, aquatic ecology, and hydromorphology to enhance site conceptualization. We engage in large-scale infrastructure projects, handling all stages of consenting from Optioneering, through Environmental Statements, to Delivery Consents. Our clients range from those requiring new groundwater resources to refurbishing existing sources, such as Water Companies, Bottled Water Suppliers, and small private operators. We support mining colleagues in water management challenges and sustainable practices. We contribute to the energy transition through ground source heat schemes and geothermal projects. Qualifications required: BSc Hons degree in Geology, Geography, or related field Experience in groundwater and the water environment industry Relevant MSc in a practical environment related subject Membership of a relevant professional body with aspirations of becoming chartered in the future.
