    About the Role

    :

    You will work in partnership with Faculty and CES colleagues to increase the levels of student engagement and participation in the full range of Placements & Work-Based Learning schemes and activities for non-professional programmes. This will involve a range of activities including: the delivery of high-quality advice and guidance to students; development of innovative work-based learning preparation programmes; and the delivery and impact evaluation of a planned schedule of events and other activities. You will also contribute to the development and building of new and existing employer relations to increase placement opportunities.
    You'll be on campus at least three days a week.

    This is a fixed term position - provisionally set until 31st March 2025

    About you:

    The successful candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, with an ability to deliver effective one to one guidance and advice as well as presentations and group workshops. The role requires strong networking, negotiating and interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    The successful applicant will have:


    • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate information clearly and professionally to a diverse range of recipients, both orally and in writing.

    • The ability to make presentations and conduct group workshops.

    • Strong networking, negotiating and interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

    • Proven experience demonstrating excellent organisational and administrative skills.

    • An ability to gain a full understanding of the services provided and customer needs to provide accurate help and assistance to customers and actively improve and/or promote services to existing and potential customers.
