    As the Aftersales Manager in a Renault dealership you will take ownership for the delivery of our promises to customers. Your key objective will be to drive the performance of the teams within the Aftersales operation and encourage them to work, efficiently and cohesively, to optimise performance and consistently provide customer excellence.

    Key Duties:

    • Responsible for achieving and exceeding the efficiency and financial performance indicators of the service and parts departments in line with company and manufacturer expectations.
    • Continually monitor performance and identify opportunities or take corrective action to increase efficiency of the Aftersales operation and manage recovery rates.
    • Engender a strong customer focus within the aftersales team and take ownership of any customer complaints to ensure the customer experience is exceptional and customer retention is maximised.
    • Recruit, train, motivate and manage department staff to continually develop their skills and knowledge and achieve their full potential.
    • Drive service department activity by proposing and implementing effective marketing strategies in line with brand guidelines.
    • Maintain knowledge of local market competition and industry aftersales marketing trends.
    • Attend regular dealership management meetings and keep colleagues appraised of department performance, actions, and requirements in a timely manner.
    • Liaise with Renault Aftersales Performance Manager and external suppliers to ensure good working relationships are developed and maintained.
    • Ensure that the department always adheres to health and safety best practice and is compliant with H&S and Environmental legislation.
    • Manage department costs and stock, in line with dealership objectives to ensure that margins are maintained and expenses controlled, utilising all resources cost effectively.
    • Uphold warranty procedures to maximise prompt recovery of monies due.

    Person Requirements

    • You will have management experience within an aftersales department ideally with a franchise dealer.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
    • Have a passion for the industry and possess strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire others to strive for success
    • Results focused, you will be resilient and able to maintain a positive work environment.
    • Possess a strong customer focus and take pride in deliver a high-quality experience.
    • People focussed with good performance management and coaching skills. Able to identify areas of weakness and to build effective coaching and development plans improve performance.
    • Innovative and commercially minded with an understanding of marketing processes and development of pricing strategies
    • Knowledgeable with a good understanding of current vehicle, consumer and environmental legislation, trade practices and FCA regulations and duties.
    • Highly numerate with experience of developing and monitoring forecasts and budgets.
    • Well-presented and able to engage and build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
    • Honest with high levels of integrity.
    • Valid Driving Licence
