    Location: Hybrid - Office (London) (3 Days) / Work from Home (2 Days)

    Job Type: Maternity Cover (12 Months)

    An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the People & Culture team in our London office.

    As HR Advisor (12 Month FTC), you will work with line managers to deliver a first-class generalist People service to the business. Providing support, advice and guidance on all people related matters to ensure a consistent, fair approach. Whilst also developing and maintaining people policies and procedures to support and achieve business objectives.

    About the Role

    • Manage ER cases including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, performance improvement.
    • Assist to develop people strategy to align with overall short and long-term business goals.
    • Partnering with stakeholders to provide advice on employment law and best practice as well as coaching line managers on handling employee relations.
    • Pro-actively review and ensure effective management of long-term sickness cases and frequent short-term sickness cases.
    • Provide professional advice and support to line managers in long-term sick cases, including Occupational Health referrals and absence management meetings.
    • Ensure all case work is dealt with in a timely manner, fairly, consistently, commercially and pragmatically.
    • Advise on wider people related issues that span the employee lifecycle.
    • Review and develop people policies and procedures to ensure best practice and effectiveness.
    • Support the onboarding and induction process including employment checks (ie. right to work).
    • Take a key role in redundancy programs.
    • Manage the relationship with the Company's EAP provider and the comms relating to this to the workforce.
    • Provide advice & guidance to P&C Partner & Administrator.
    • Assist P&C Manager to develop people strategy and deliver departmental goals.

    About You

    • CIPD Level 5 minimum
    • Proficient understanding of employment laws in the UK and ROI, and their practical implementation.
    • Competent in utilising Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel) and HR Systems.
    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, adaptable to various audiences.
    • Skilled in influencing others through advisory and coaching roles.
    • Proactive team member, adept at problem-solving and delivering excellent customer service.
    • Demonstrates discretion and diplomacy, maintaining confidentiality when required.
    • Dependable and driven, with a strong sense of self-motivation.
    • Committed to ongoing personal and professional development, striving for continuous improvement.
