The Role


This role will require involvement at all stages of the testing lifecycle, with equal emphasis on the production of test documentation and the conducting of testing on Payment systems.


The role will involve both producing and executing test plans and test scripts within a formally agreed schedule, as well as customer and other 3rd party liaison.


Qualifications:


  • Degree Level Qualification or Recognised Industry Qualification

Desired Technical Skills:


  • Databases (SQL desirable)
  • Good understanding of one or more operating system, ideally Windows or Linux

Personal Skills:


  • Logical approach to problem solving
  • Consistent attention to detail
  • High level of accuracy in work output
  • Ability to communicate clearly

(Desired) Knowledge / Experience:


  • Payment systems and services e.g., Knowledge of card schemes
  • Microsoft Office family of products
  • PCI DSS
  • Test planning and manual testing
  • Structured Analysis Methods

Responsibilities

  • Production of test documentation such as test plans and test scripts / cases.
  • Advising on the scope of functionality requiring testing and the associated time and resource requirements.
  • Conducting all types of testing including Unit, Skim, System, Functional, Regression, Integration, Stress, Certification and Client end to end testing.
  • Creating test scripts on the available test tools and simulators.
  • Recording of results with the appropriate evidence.
  • Problem log management, from initial analysis through to resolution.
  • Additional Responsibilities
  • To ensure that the overall Quality Objectives of the Company in respect of carrying out job responsibilities are met.
  • Feed into the continuous improvement of testing processes and procedures.
  • Comply with the current TNS Information Security Policy.
  • Understand the need for confidentiality when dealing with customer information and payments information.
