About us

Lambeth is one of the most diverse, high profile and dynamic local authorities in London, leading on numerous London wide initiatives and with an enviable reputation for good quality and highly valued services.

Lambeth is facing great challenges in balancing the needs of the borough and its residents with the ever tightening resources; to do this we need the best commercial outcomes from all our relationships.

We have ambitious development and regeneration plans for the borough to provide growth in employment, housing and opportunities.

There are great opportunities here at Lambeth to make a real difference to the Borough and to make an impact with the work you do.

We offer flexible working and the ability to work from home, and will support professional development and career progression opportunities, including professional qualifications such as studying CIPS.

The Team and Role

Our Procurement team is enhancing the established Category Management approach and also developing a range of partnerships to provide opportunities and resilience.

There are four Categories within Lambeth that requirements fit into:
Community & Environment, Energy & Corporate, Housing and Property and Health & Social Care.

We need an ambitious, enthusiastic and commercially astute individual to join our Procurement team as a Senior Procurement Officer, who will work in the _Community and Environment Category _, but will potentially work on projects that cut across other categories.

You will be supporting major Lambeth Procurement projects including high profile regeneration schemes and new social housing, whilst also providing core Procurement advice across smaller projects.

This offers a fantastic chance to lead on projects, whilst also allowing you to develop and enhance your skills and experience.

You will bring several years' experience of running tender processes in the public sector, including those above thresholds, and be at least part qualified MCIPS or equivalent.

You will be an excellent communicator and will need to demonstrate an ability to understand client needs and work with internal and external project teams, to secure the support and trust of all stakeholders.

This is an exciting time to work at Lambeth; if you'd like to make a difference and want work on some of the most interesting projects in local government, then we'd love to hear from you.
