    Special Needs Teacher – SEN Primary School – September Start

    Role: Special Needs Teacher (Autism)

    Contract: Full Time, Permanent

    Start Date: September 2024

    Salary: Inner London MPS Inc. ILW + SEN Allowance

    Payscale: MPS1 £36,745 – MPS6 £47,666

    Location :Tower Hamlets

    We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Special Needs Teacher who is passionate about supporting and working with children with Autism.

    Our specialist primary school support a wide range of learning disabilities, including pupils with severe and complex social and communication difficulties.

    We welcome applications from Early Career Teachers, Primary & Early Years teachers new to special needs, as well as experienced professionals.

    Person Specification –Special Needs Teacher:

    ·Must be a qualified Teacher and have UK QTS

    ·Special Needs Teacher

    ·Must have experience of working with Autism

    ·Experience of and commitment to raising achievement in a school setting

    ·The ability to deliver sustained (good and outstanding) teaching practice

    ·The skills to deliver creative and engaging differentiated learning opportunities for pupils with SEND

    ·The ability to work collaboratively with supporting agencies implementing additional support programs to meet pupils' specific needs.

    ·Some experience of writing and delivering Individual Education Plans

    ·Relevant training and/or experience relating to working with pupils with autism and communication disorders ( e.g. PECS, TEACCH and Attention Autism)

    ·Experience of managing a support staff team

    We are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. You will have a safeguarding responsibility if appointed as a Special Needs Teacher.

    The successful Special Needs Teacher will be subject to enhanced clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service and employment will be subject to references.
