    Description
    • Daily monitoring and ownership of the AP mailbox
    • Daily processing of invoices onto Purchase Ledger
    • Collating and prioritising payments as they fall due.
    • Setting up supplier payments in the Banking platform (Barclays)
    • Posting Bank payments in the accounting system (IFS)
    • Weekly reconciliation of bank statements to accounting system
    • Weekly review of monthly supplier statements and aged creditors report, offsetting balances.
    • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies on supplier accounts.
    • Weekly review and processing of staff expenses.
    • Monthly review and processing of company credit cards
    • Intercompany Account Reconciliations
    • Liaise with Suppliers in relation to queries and missing invoices.
    • Ensure adherence to month-end deadlines
    • Undertake any other duties which may be required by management.
    • Supporting other areas within the finance department when required

    Qualifications

    • The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE-Level or equivalent, with a grade A-C in GSCE Maths and English.
    • At least two years' experience of working in a busy finance environment
    • A high level of proficiency on MS Office applications including Excel and Word.
    • Excellent communication and organisational skills along with a proven ability to meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
    • Highly motivated and capable of working on their own initiative and without supervision
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise tasks
    • Experience in accounting and financial systems
    • Direct experience in accounts payable activities
    • Experience of month-end procedures.
    • Experience of IFS accounting system
    • Experience of multiple company postings including cross-company
