A key member of the Hardware Engineering team, this role will work to create mechanical designs and drawings to deliver on a Defence maritime platform management project.
Due to continued growth to support a high profile project, this role is increasing our existing Mechanical CAD Design team capability and experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduce and review mechanical piece part drawings and General Assemblies (GA) using Creo ElementsSupport the creation and management of Bills of Materials (BOM)Provide mechanical engineering support to the Mechanical Design Engineering teamDefine and apply appropriate Geometric, Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to mechanical designsDefine and apply appropriate standards, materials and finishes in accordance with project requirementsMaintain documents and drawings through development and production changesSupport schedule and work package estimates, where requiredCollaboratively support other engineering functions from a mechanical drawing perspectiveTo be aware of and comply with company standards of conduct and all relevant statutory requirementsRaise and action Change Notes (CN)Manage and adhere to configuration management processes for baseline control throughout the full project lifecycle.
Review output of junior members of the team General Operational dutiesAttend department meetings as requiredRemain compliant with all applicable processes and proceduresSupport the Mechanical Line Manager in developing and growing a professional and engaged team
