What's the role all about?


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Site Administrator to join our Construction team, based at our
Site Office at Hinkley Point C.

With an ambitious order book ahead of us we are looking for an individual who can hit the ground running and support us by being able to assist with administrative tasks, inductions, timesheet management, deliveries/logistics, uploading information to IT system, and other office related issues to ensure all administrative aspects of site work are accurate and up to date.


Working 40 hours a week / Monday to Thursday - 7.30am - 4.30pM/Friday 7.30am - 2.00pm
As a
Site Administrator you will support the Project Team and be involved in:

  • Management of the office environment, ensuring it is clean and useable space, that the equipment is available, stationery is stocked accordingly and that photocopiers are in full working order and maintained.
  • Sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing post ensuring that any parcels are securely sent via courier and post via the normal mail system.
  • Keep the timesheet records of our employees up to date and monitor working hours to prepare reports as requested. Oversee and maintain use of Kronos activities for site staff, updating payroll weekly, ensuring OT is paid where needed, process holidays
  • Be the main point of contact for site deliveries. Assist the site management team with the delivery slot coordination, keep records of all the deliveries
  • Liaise with Procurement to guarantee that all goods received are in conformance with the PO and the copy of the delivery notes is promptly returned to the headquarters
  • Liaise with HR to ensure that all new employees have completed their legal right to work checks and returned all paperwork to allow them to start work
  • Organise and administering all site inductions ensuring that training records are maintained to the correct standard and that all certificates and passes are in order.
  • Receiving and receipting all inbound delivers of site goods and material for the construction team, accurately documenting any exceptions, (damage, shortages, overages, etc.) and communicates with the respective facility or supplier to resolve any issues and/or discrepancies.
  • Regularly check and maintain the construction training matrix to identify what training requirements are due to ensure site personnel remain in date. Where training is required including refreshers, liaise with HR who will ensure the training is booked with the preferred supplier and preferred time to suit site.
  • Using Management System procedures maintain project records and communicate effectively
  • Ensure effective distribution of drawings and project information to all project stakeholders (internal and external); this will include printing and distribution of hard copies of drawings and project information
  • Organise meetings as per the project teams requirements for internal and external attendees. This will include booking meeting rooms, arranging presentation equipment, any documentation or information packs that are required and refreshments.

What are we looking for?

  • Educated to a minimum of A-Level standard or equivalent. A recognised qualification in Business Administration is desirable
  • Previous experience of an administration role in a busy office environment as a minimum. Reasonable level of experience working in a construction environment is desired.
  • Sound communication and influencing skills with experience of building relationships across an organisation.
  • A solutionsorientated mindset with the ability to work accurately at pace and cope with ambiguity.
  • Experience of supporting management teams who are managing change projects.
  • Customer focused and has the ability to influence at all levels on a construction site.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
