    Senior Mechanical Test Engineer - Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)

    Work Pattern:
    Mon - Fri, 36 hours a week
    Circa £35,000 + Excellent Benefits + Bonus

    We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and highly motivated Senior Test Engineer to join our Life Protection testing team in Hemel Hempstead on a Permanent basis.

    You will play a pivotal role in the team, taking responsibility for carrying out test work on a range of personal protection and latex based products to agreed quality, standards and timescales making sure that the products are safe and fit for purpose, whilst liaising with internal stakeholders and clients to ensure successful delivery of each project.

    In addition, you will maintain excellent communication channels across the wider testing team and cross functional departments, whilst overseeing the management of testing work and clients

    In this role you'll be joining a diverse team whereby in addition to the above you'll also be tasked to undertake quotation work and work as project lead or closely support a project leader.

    Writing up clear, accurate and complete test reports.

    Liaising with clients and advising on the status of work to facilitate premier customer service & on-time delivery on all work and projects.


    Conducting client visits (on-site) or remote testing as required.

    Operate in line with quality and safety procedures to ensure compliance with the organisations and legislative requirements and the requirements of ISO

    Produce quality test reports in a timely manner or project status reports as requested.

    Liaising with calibration department on the maintenance and use of the correct equipment to carry out testing.

    Maintain good housekeeping in the Lab, office with all electronics data storage.

    Reporting and escalating issues in testing which impact performance or quality of results.
    Qualification to HNC/HND level in a relative engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience in a test environment.

    Good level of computer literacy and working knowledge of MS Office or equivalent.
