Description
We're working with a fast-growing Design & Engineering Consultancy dedicated to the Urban Spaces sector.
The business is in an exciting phase in Scotland, with forward orders and new opportunities arising frequently. We are now looking to appoint an experienced Associate Director in Edinburgh to assist this growth and provide high-level engineeringcapability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the strategic plan for the business
- Manage project resources within the business unit, including the supervision and development of multidisciplinary and multilocation teams
- Promote the professional services offering to clients within the region, and work together with other directors and account managers to develop new business opportunities
- Develop and direct business growth initiatives to grow and diversify the client and service offering
- Ensure customer satisfaction and develop longterm partnerships
- Contribute to regional and national level forums within the service and sector areas
- Ensure individuals and teams operate in compliance with relevant industry legislation and design standards, quality management systems and procedures
- Provide interdisciplinary coordination, determine project needs, and participate in interoffice coordination of other stakeholders on small, medium and large scale projects
The Person:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant technical discipline
- Chartered Status with a recognised professional Institution (ICE, CIHT or equivalent)
- Significant experience in delivering relevant technical & professional services.
- Proven leadership skills, ability to work under pressure, and deliver efficient financial performance.
- Knowledge and experience operating within a matrix model
- Selfstarter with the ability to analyse complex situations, develop options and successfully promote solutions quickly
- Welldeveloped written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Experience developing and leading opportunity pursuits, business and account management and experience establishing and developing client relationships
- Demonstrable experience of project management including experience of change management
