More Recruitment are looking for a
Logistics Operator to join a precision engineering company in
Aston, Birmingham.

This is a great career opportunity, the company is providing full
training and mentoring for progression into a Manager position.

This is a temporary to permanent role: after a temporary period of 12 weeks, a successful person will receive a permanent contract.

The shift is 7:00am - 4:15pm Monday to Thursday.
Due to energy saving measures, the company is not currently not operating on Fridays. This can be changed on a later date.

After the initial 12 weeks' period there is a possible transfer to 6:00am-3:15pm working hours.

Key responsibilities:

To comply with health and safety policy.
Responsible for following Logistical processes set out i.e. booking stock in/out correctly.
Responsible for ensuring items that are finished and are ready to be packed have route cards.
To ensure all items are wrapped/packed correctly and put in to the correct dispatch location.
Responsible for area housekeeping.
Responsible for the replenishment of consumable items i.e. boxes, gloves.
To ensure all items that are brought down to the Logistics department locations are in the correct area. (educate repeat offenders)
To ensure route cards and the parts move onto the next operation immediately when finished. (subcon)
General cleaning duties.
To cover holiday requirements for the Logistics Driver.
To carry out any other jobs delegated by the logistics manager.

Requirements:
