We are recruiting for a Revenue Protection Officer

What is the purpose of the job?

  • To be a key player within the Avanti West Coast Security & Revenue Protection Team in providing the highest level of service encompassing the roles and responsibilities of the Security & Revenue Protection Team.
  • Working in partnership with the On-Board and Station teams to give all our customers a safe, relaxing journey, dealing with them in a welcoming, friendly and professional way.
  • To protect our company revenue and increase our market shares by delivering excellence in Customer Service.
  • Carry out all instructions given by the Head of Security & Revenue Protection. Communicate effectively with other On Board and Station people in the interest of customer service and safety, always ensuring your own personal safety and that of others at all times.
  • Assist customers with their travel needs, ensuring that at all times, concise and accurate information is given.
  • Assist in duties at times of service disruption and emergencies ensuring that appropriate advice is relayed to customers. Provide as much assistance and information as possible to customers who are inconvenienced, use your initiative and empowerment when finding solutions to customer and other Avanti West Coast people problems.
  • Ensure customers are encouraged to seek clarification of details, which they are unsure. When you have the opportunity for enhancing a product sale ensure this is positively acted upon.
  • Examine and update notices, retail circulars and publications, which may effect your environment or product knowledge.
  • Undertake commercial assessments on retail products, to ensure competence and relevant product knowledge to Avanti West Coast standards. Attend all training and development courses required.
  • During times of disruption with planned and short notice engineering work assist with the management of replacement coach and train services. Assist our Station people both Avanti West Coast and other T.O.C's to provide customer service to our customers ensuring special need customers are looked after and informed.
