Are you a Learning Mentor looking for an exciting new role at an Alternative Provision in Central Birmingham?

A bustling Alternative Provision catering for KS3 and KS4 pupils is looking for a dynamic Learning Mentor to join their superb team of staff.

** £80 - £85 per day

The Learning Mentor:
For this Learning Mentor role, you should have experience working in an Alternative Provision school, or a similar setting.

You should be able to build effective academic relationships with students so as to make excellent progress with their work.

It is importantthat you are proactive and can track attainment, in order to identify which students require extra support.

You should hold a Level 3 Learning Mentor qualification for this role, and have excellent knowledge of additional needs, particularly SEMH needs andchallenging behaviour.


The Learning Mentor Role:


As an Learning Mentor in this role, you must be able to work with teachers to identify which students will benefit most from your support.

You will provide 1:1 support for pupils, assisting with their learning and also providing wellbeing support in cooperationwith the pastoral team.

As Learning Mentor, you will also assist teaching staff with delivering high quality lessons and managing classroom behaviour effectively.

This Alternative Provision caters for pupils in year groups with challenging behaviours, SEMH needs and SEN that have meant they have left their mainstream education.

This school aims to give them an academic education whilst also looking after theirwellbeing and prioritising social, emotional and mental health.
