Programme Manager - 12 month FTC

Redhill, Surrey (hybrid)

£90-110,000 + £8.5K car allowance, bonus and package


Leading financial services company who provide finance to a network of dealerships throughout the United Kingdom are looking for a highly experienced Programme Manager to join them on a 12-month fixed term contract to help define and leadon a significant strategic multiyear programme in expanding their Contract Hire business.

You will ideally come from a car finance/ Contract hire/ leasing background but this is non-essential.


Responsibilities will include:


  • Leading the programme team to ensure project deliverables are met
  • Deliver the programme scope, functional and nonfunctional requirements, and all associated deliverables required per phase of the programme
  • Use your extensive knowledge and experience to drive the appropriate project approach and methodology for the programme, in conjunction with and agreed, with the relevant thirdparty vendor ensuring delivery is within scope, time, cost & quality guardrails
  • Build strong relationships with Executive programme sponsors, stakeholders and the wider Executive Directors on programme status including but not limited to full RAID management
  • Creation and maintenance of overarching Programme plan in conjunction with the Programme workstreams ensuring robust supply & demand resource forecast for the overall Programme delivery team and relevant business units
  • Creation, maintenance and execution of effective communication plans across the Programme and the wider business
  • Accountable for liaising with both technical and nontechnical thirdparty vendors and build effective working partnerships
  • Organise and facilitate effective meetings and workshops with the Senior Directors, programme sponsors, wider programme delivery team and wider business units
  • Manage budget, scope and programme schedule, tracking deliverables and ensuring programme status is articulated clearly and robustly through both verbally and in writing
  • Effectively manage scope across multiple phases of the programme and ensure that change requests are raised and approved as appropriate
  • Manage the transition of the project in conjunction with the Head of Operations into businessasusual, and ensure service transition plans are defined, tested and in place on time
  • Evaluate and assess the KPI's of the project which include 'lessons learned', benefits realisation, capex and opex budget's vs actuals
  • Identify, manage and escalate where necessary key risks in relation to risk policies and/or legislative and regulatory guidelines in accordance with the group risk framework

What we're looking for:


  • Significant demonstrable experience in a similar role at a senior level
  • Very strong business change background including implementation of Target Operating Model and with a solid understanding of major IT change including data migration
  • Adept at communication and influencing at Senior Director level and to all stakeholders across the enterprise
  • Strong demonstrable experience in the successful delivery of large and complex multiyear programme's including effective management of a multi workstream delivery team of circa 30 people
  • Significant experience in managing multiple third party vendors including building and maintaining effective and strong relationships
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to gain full understanding
  • Experience within highly regulated Financial Services, Contract Hire and Leasing is desirable
  • Ability to operate with ambiguity is essential
  • Demonstratable initiative and tenacity with high appetite for results and the ability to set priorities and manage multiple initiatives
