    The Role and Department

    Dynamic and vibrant, Durham University Business School is one of Durham University's four Faculties and is comprised of four research-intensive departments: Accounting, Economics, Finance, and Management and Marketing. Known for its global reputation, its impact on policy and practice and its strong focus on ethics, responsibility and sustainability, the School aims to be a leading European business school with a strong global presence by 2027.

    The School currently has 195 academic and teaching staff, with plans and resource commitments to grow to 230 by 2027. The School has a high-quality portfolio of programmes at undergraduate, masters and doctoral level, across all subject areas. The school's student population is around 4000 plus, across undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes, attracting a talented and diverse student intake (with over 130 nationalities).

    The Business School seeks an outstanding Alumni Relations Manager to promote and strengthen the alumni network, partnerships and engagement opportunities globally.

    The role is a fixed-term (31 week) maternity cover appointment.

    The School currently has a global alumni community of over 36,000 across 140 countries, and providing a high-quality alumni relations service is an essential to the achievement of the School's strategic objectives. The Alumni Relations Manager is responsible for managing and developing this service, including a range of project work, events and activities to develop and strengthen engagement with our alumni and the wider international community. In collaboration with colleagues in the School, including members of the Executive Team and other internal and external stakeholders, the post holder will identify and gain agreement of shared objectives, Key Performance Indicators and implementation plans to achieve relevant Strategic Framework outcomes.
