We are currently seeking an experienced and resilient Admissions Manager to join The College Swansea University team.


Salary:
£32, ,000 per annum

This post will primarily be based on Bay Campus with the requirement to attend various meetings on Singleton Campus


Admissions Manager Responsibilities:


  • Manage and provide support and guidance to the Admissions team at The College, Swansea University
  • Deliver gold standard customer service around admissions and conversion, with particular focus on agent management
  • Issue offers to prospective students, and/or refer and manage borderline cases to Swansea University
  • Support visa documentation and verification processes
  • Contribute, as necessary, to the aligning and streamlining of processes between The College,Swansea University and Navitas
  • Develop excellent University and Source Country Office (SCO) engagement, via connections and working relationships with University admissions and compliance teams
  • Responsible for the daytoday management of student records, liaising with University and SCO to ensure that records are kept up to date, utilising the Navitas CRM System (Salesforce)
  • As appropriate, engage with regulatory bodies, for example the collation and monitoring of documentation for UKVI inspections
  • Oversee and manage the preparation of documents required in order to issue a CAS statement
  • Ensure that the team of Admissions Officers are developing and maintaining a strong, accurate and up to date knowledge base of The College programmes
  • Provide admissions and processrelated training to SCO staff
  • Resolve complex issues on an asneed basis
  • Prepare and present regular reports on admissions issues and trends inclusive of recommendations
  • Work cooperatively with the rest of the team, seeking to support all areas of the business as appropriate
  • Seek selfimprovement through mentoring and coaching from senior team members
  • Remain in compliance with company guidelines at all times
  • To fully engage with the University's Performance Enabling and Welsh language policies.
  • To promote equality and diversity in working practices and to maintain positive working relationships.
  • To lead on the continual improvement of health and safety performance through a good understanding of the risk profile and the development of a positive health and safety culture.
  • To ensure that risk management is an integral part of any decision making process, by ensuring compliance with the University's Risk Management Policy
  • To assist the Director of Marketing and Recruitment with any other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job

Admissions Manager Requirements:


  • A good honours degree, or equivalent, or significant and relevant work experience
  • Demonstrable evidence of creating a culture that delivers successful outcomes through people, developing and challenging teams to succeed and take pride in delivering professional services and solutions.
  • Ability to enable teams to work together and across functions to deliver successful outcomes that exceed the needs and expectations of customers, and in creating environments that demonstrate equality, foster trust, respect and challenge.
  • Demonstrable experience of creating environments that identify, understand and give priority to delivering the needs of the customer, and in motivating and inspiring teams to provide the highest standards of personalised care
  • Strong verbal and written English language communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills, interacting with a variety of cultural and ethnic stakeholder groups, including senior staff within Swansea University
  • Computer literacy skills inclusive of demonstrated competence with the Microsoft Office suite
  • PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • File management and administrative skills
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of equal opportunity, equity and workplace health and safety principles
  • Proactive work habits
Desirable

  • Experience of working in an International admissions education setting
  • Frontline customer relationship management to multicultural client base
  • An effective knowledge of university and/or pathway admissions criteria and processes
  • Knowledge of CRM systems
  • Knowledge of CAS issuance process
  • Line management experience
  • The ability to speak a foreign language, ideally aligning with priority recruitment markets
