    Veterinary surgeon

    Purosearch has a unique opportunity for a Veterinary surgeon to join an independent client in the Southampton area. They deal with an array of animals which include small animal, large animal, Equine, Exotics and Referrals. My client cherishes traditional family values and has an excellent reputation in the surrounding areas.

    You will be joining a large veterinary team who are all practising vets, all of which are backed by a strong nursing team.

    They have an experienced team of lab technicians and nurses who can analyse samples from large and small animals.


    The Practice:
    Across their three sites the practices boast an enviable range of the latest veterinary equipment and technology meaning you will have all the tools at your disposal in order to practice in accordance with the highest clinical standards

    • Nurse Clinics

    The Candidate:
    The successful candidate will be experienced in both general surgery and consultations.

    You will have excellent communication skills and will provide an empathetic and caring approach to both patients and clients alike.

    In order to fit in with the existing team you will be friendly, enthusiastic and committed to upholding a gold standard of Veterinary care.


    • Experienced person ideally with a cert in surgery

    The Role:

    • You own OOHs rota
    • 2 week nights a month
    • 6 or 7 weekends per year (Toil)
    • Flexibility in working rota
    • 3 or 4 days per week

    The Package:

    • Basic salary and paid OOHs
    • Bonus scheme
    • CPD allowance = £1,200 (5 days)
    • Flexible if they want to do cert
    • Accommodation in the practice for OOHs
