Description

Bridging Underwriter The successful candidate will be responsible for managing unregulated bridging loan applications from inception to completion

Responsibilities:

Liaising with borrowers, lender's solicitors, valuers, quantity surveyors, brokers, andinternal salespeople to effectively manage the lending process
Reviewing application forms, loan documentation, credit reports, valuation reports, bank statements, Companies House, and HM Land Registry websites
Preparing indicative terms and loan offerletters
Onboarding new investors and preparing investment memorandums for investors
Preparing client statements for investors and borrowers
Creating and maintaining reports in Excel
Ensuring documents assessed in line with internal policies and proceduresas well as regulatory guidelines
Migrating loan data from Excel into a loan management system
Updating contacts in the CRM database
Managing & training future junior hires
Monitoring websites for industry news and statistics
Attending team meetingsand providing loan updates to managers
Carrying out ad hoc duties and aiding as and when required Experience:
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Minimum 1 year experience working in a similar role at a bridge lender
Intermediate/advanced levelof Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Good work ethic and selfdisciplined
Team player with good communication (written and spoken English)
Strong customer service and organisation skills
Analytically mindedwith high attention to detail and ability to multitask
Ability to strict deadlines
