- Perform day to day accounting tasks for assigned administrative entities within the continent, including but not limited to: balance sheet reconciliation, journal posting and review, reclasses and corrections, accruals and prepayments, support with period close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset maintenance, VAT reconciliation, financial analysis.
- Financial Reporting: assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reports, adhering to USGAAP and local accounting standards.
- Compliance: ensure adherence to company policy, USGAAP, and local accounting standards across assigned EMEA entities.
- Process Improvement: identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency, considering the diversity of EMEA requirements.
- Audit Support: provide documentation and support for internal and external audits as needed for assigned EMEA entities, as well as support with the Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) process where applicable.
- Ad-Hoc Projects: participate in special projects and perform additional tasks as assigned by Direct Line Manager and Senior Finance Leadership.
- Perform all tasks in a timely manner ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
- Comply with Marriott International policies and procedures.

- Strong command of the English language, both verbally and in writing, is a must.

- College or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Qualified Accountant (in UK or Germany) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience, including experience with USGAAP.
- Experience working with accounting software, PeopleSoft (Oracle) preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
