- **Job Description
My client a fast-growing insurance broking business has a very exciting proposition to join its London team.
The opportunity is ideally for a fully qualified Tax accountant who has experience gained in insurance.
**Responsibilities
Corporation Tax

  • Work with advisers to produce draft computations / returns for all group companies (for stats provisioning) and produce disclosure notes
  • Finalise computations and returns for filing with HMRC
  • Maintain / develop the Group's month end tax estimate calculation and post journal(s) accordingly
  • Maintain / develop the Group's Budget tax model and calculate the Group's tax P&L and cashflow Budget
  • Calculate QIPs and ensure all tax payments are made on time
  • Develop internal reporting of, support for and control over Group balances
  • Review opening tax position of acquired entities and seek solutions to mitigate identified risks

VAT

  • Produce quarterly
    VAT liability calculation for the main trading entity
  • Review submissions from subsidiaries, compile, calculate quarterly
    VAT Group liability and submit return
  • Provide staff training and develop system capabilities as required
  • Ensure compliance with MTD requirements
  • Develop documentation to support and summarise the Group's
    VAT position
Taxation of Employee Benefits

  • Calculate and submit PSA returns
Oversee the P11d process
Build, maintain and review a summary of employee benefits (and their tax treatment) across the Group

Other

  • Manage the relationship and performance of outsourced tax advisors
  • Manage queries from and communication with tax authorities
  • Proactively identify and act on tax risks for the business to ensure changes in tax regulations are complied with
  • Provide taxation advice during the acquisition process for new entities
  • Provide advice to the business in response to adhoc tax questions
  • Develop compliance and reporting solutions for overseas taxation as required
  • Ensure advisers are provided with accurate ERS information and returns are submitted on time
  • Produce and maintain documentation (including process / file notes)
  • Review and improve internal processes
  • Project work as required
  • Other adhoc tasks as required
