Currently we have two 30-hour Clinical Support Team Administrator posts in our Community Learning Disabilities service, based at Hospital Site in Bury St Edmunds.


1st Post:
Monday - Thursday, 9.00am-5.00pm


2nd Post:
Tuesday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm


You would be joining a dedicated and supportive team of admin and clinical staff in our Learning Disabilities Community Team as well as other admin teams across the pathway who all work closely together to provide an excellent service for our clients and their families.

This Team was also rated GOOD on the latest CQC report

Experience of working in an NHS or Health Care setting would be an advantage, however training will be given.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the ability to manage a varied workload in a busy office environment.

You should be able to prioritise your work effectively, have excellent communication skills, and work as part of a team.


Main duties will include:


  • Acceptance and allocation of new referrals
  • Recording notes/events to support team
  • Reviewing and resolving any data issues
  • Responding to queries from the clinical teams
  • Supporting the clinical team with their data and administrative needs
  • Minute taking
  • Processing letters
  • Answering the phone to service users, carers, outside agencies
  • Attending Multidisciplinary meetings, Protected days and Away days


As well as the main duties of the role, we ensure time is also spent in developing and training our Admin team.


Development opportunities are discussed and supported by the Line Manager and Business Support Manager, and may include things such as becoming systems experts, understanding audits.

Allocated supervision time happens every 4 weeks where these opportunities can be discussed and grown.


The way we care for people with Learning Disabilities in Suffolk is changing at NSFT as we have recently benefited from £1.3 million of investment for our Acute services and the role out of a new LDASS.

The development is fully driven by the National Transforming Care Agenda.

This role will focus on supporting the clinical team, dealing with our Electronic Patient Record system Lorenzo, supporting the Team's admin function and minute taking meetings.


Office hours run Monday to Friday and you will also be supported by the Learning Disabilities and Autism Business Support Manager and Senior Team Administrator.
