    Hinkley Point 'C' (HPC) is a vital part of the UK's future energy strategy.

    As the first of the UK's next generation of nuclear power stations, HPC is both of high profile and high complexity.

    The project is delivered through an organisation that comprises multi-disciplinary teams.

    Supporting our Nuclear teams responsible for the operations of our nuclear sites across the UK, as well as the construction of HPC (Hinkley Point C).

    • Provision, oversight, and governance of expediting scope per programme(s) assigned.
    • Providing assurance that the Project's established risk-based approach to expediting is being upheld,
    and that support levels within scope are being monitored and managed effectively.


    • Provide principal point of contact for Expediting Supervisors per programme(s) assigned.
    • To manage risk, perform schedule analysis, and ultimately ensure that schedule critical equipment and materials are suitably prioritised, and their status reported through to Project stakeholders.
    • Provide accurate manufacturing status information on supported contract scope, ensuring full
    visibility to all stakeholders.


    • Support creation and implementation of delivery contract mitigation plans.
    • To perform expediting escalation visits as required either at critical HPC Contractors premises,
    or at various hub working locations (globally).


    • Responsible for troubleshooting supply chain issues within the team and representing the
    group at internal and external meetings.


    • Able to scope, structure or make best use of existing performance metrics and KPIs for
    monitoring supplier performance and schedule risk.


    • Develop and evaluate new and existing expediting support requirements, and report such
    into the Expediting Manager.


    • Provide a key interface between Expediting, assigned programme(s) and other stakeholders.
    • Expedite Contract Partner process assurance.
    • Expediting Visit Report governance.
    • Represent HPC Expediting at key programme monthly delivery performance meetings.
    • Assist the Expediting Manager by providing cover at various Senior Leadership Team,
    ONR or Logistics meetings as required.
    Who you are...

    • Experienced with a track record of collaborative working within successful project teams.
    • Extensive understanding of the EDF nuclear supply chain is essential.
    • Extensive experience on Capital Works projects for Process Plants, preferably in the
    Nuclear, Power, Chemical or Oil and Gas or industries.


    • Demonstratable technical knowledge of major equipment and manufacturing processes.
    • Must have a proven track record of managing highly effective teams on previous
    projects.


    • Flexibility to travel as and when necessary to meet the needs of Project.
    • Previous desk and field expediting experience is essential.
    • Knowledge of the supplier documentation submittal and review process.
    • A working knowledge of Manhattan material management systems.
    • To be able to work decisively (within the remit) and effectively without continual
    intervention from senior leadership.


    • To provide role model behaviors and act safely and professionally at all times.
    • Relevant College/University education degree, or equivalent
