    SPECIFIC TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
    Holds high level commercial awareness with effective use of negotiation techniques.

    Understands financial risk and the tools to protect against financial harm.

    Critically evaluates commercial and contractual information.

    Possesses high level understanding of project risk and the varied risk management processes and techniques that can be adopted.

    Protects and develops strategic client relationships with clear and effective communication.

    Proactively controls and manages company cash flow.

    Sets budgetary parameters and controls internal spending.


    KEY DUTIES:
    Drive and promote zero harm behaviours across the business.

    Develop, communicate, and influence financial KPIs.

    Weekly forecasting of company financial status

    Ensure regulatory controls are adhered to.

    Enforcement of lawful and ethical financial standards

    Review and analysis of CAPEX requests including recommendations.


    Support the head of operations & business unit heads with financial monitoring and effective information management systems including leading the accuracy and use of our MRB system.

    Develop effective relationships with corporate banking services.

    Financial risk portfolio management

    Financial modeling of production equipment and assets including costed maintenance programmes

    Support effective budget management for equipment, maintenance, and facilities.

    Liaison and relationship management with business auditors

    Design and implementation of company financial policies and procedures (e.g. expenses, travel, etc).

    Drive and monitor adherence to financial procedures.

    Liaison with clients in the event of clarification, disputes, etc.

    Lead weekly project review meetings providing to maintain accurate financial forecasts.

    Report on financial performance on a monthly basis management accounts

    Prepare what if scenarios to support commercial teams and business units.


    Participate in bid reviews on potential new projects and help set up project controls, cash profiles and T&C reviews at the outset of new orders.

    Advise on improvement and recovery strategies and techniques.

    Management and development of finance and administration teams.


    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
    Ensure zero harm to all personnel (including clients, subcontractors, etc)

    Uphold company safety standards across all day-to-day operations.

    Achievement of corporate financial KPIs.

    Proactive leadership and performance management of finance and administration

    Effective communications across the finance and administration teams

    Ensuring adherence to company financial policies and procedures

    Provision of effective financial support services to project and operational teams

    Minimise financial risk to the organisation through effective risk portfolio management.

    Roll out and control of internal budget management programme.

    Effective cashflow management

    Lead short-, medium- and longer-term financial forecasting.
